The idea was to paint an erotic nude without objectifying, in a sensual manner with her personality shining through , and the fact she is empowered. The disruptive slightly disturbing angles are meant to transfix and mystify the viewer. It is a warm and romantic image of a woman at ease with herself and you know there is plenty behind the smile. The location for the painting was the luxury Gore hotel in London, and it was the first time the model posed for the artist. The late afternoon Autumn light flooding the room adds to the warm glow of the painting and this will be a captivating conversation piece. .
